Sleepy Time

I told you we were tired. Those of you who have spent much time with Olivia understand how amazing it is that she fell asleep on the way home from the fair.

Chocolate Faces

Here we have faces full of chocolate chips from all the cookies. - Our "clever" way of keeping the girls in the stroller on the walk back to the van.

Fair Fun

Here we have Isabelle ready for the fair, and Olivia with the sheep in the Miracle of Birth building. We spent 5 hours at the fair! Boy were we tired!

Soccer

Grace Lutheran Church challenged our church to a soccer match last Saturday. I'm not sure it was a fair match-up, since they are all from Liberia, but it was fun any way. They took it easy on us, and we only lost by 1 goal. Here are some shots from the day. Mike is on the field in green shorts with his arms up in the air.

Hand Holding

The girls have enjoyed holding hands when they walk places together lately. Here they are walking and playing in the mall.

Shades

Isabelle's birth family came for a visit a couple of weeks ago, and brought the girls some adorable sunglasses. Here are some cute pictures of them! Thanks Mary and Sue!

Vacation Bible School

VBS was a few weeks ago. Olivia had a great week! Here are some pictures from the program on the last day. She did a great job!

Shower

We had Stef's baby shower this weekend, and I got to practice making cakes again! I tried to copy the pattern of the plates and napkins. I thought it turned out pretty good. :)

Little clowns

We went to the Children's Museum today and painted our faces again! The girls really got into it this time. (Of course, we did a lot more than just paint our faces.) A lot of the color had already washed off by the time we got home and I took the picture. They were pretty proud of themselves. Isabelle said she was a lion, and Olivia said she was a "tiger - roar!" (her own words)

News

Well, we have a buyer for our house, and have had a purchase agreement accepted for the house we want to buy! We close on both on September 28. The new home is in Brooklyn Park. It's a rambler, with 3 bedrooms on the main level and 2 bedrooms in the basement, as well as a family room and living room, and another living area in the basement with a wood-burning fireplace. It's close to a neighborhood park, and has a much bigger backyard than what we're used to. We're pretty excited! Sorry, no pictures yet. We'll post them once we're moved in and everything is final.

Thanks to everyone has been praying for us! The house sold in a little over a month. In this market, we know that must be God taking care of it for us.

Fun with friends

Last week our friend Ellie and her 3 month old baby brother Owen spent the day with us while their mom had a root canal. The girls has a great time together, and mommy had so much fun caring for a baby again! We're so sad that they moved to Wisconsin the next weekend. We miss you guys!
