We spent Christmas day at Grandma L. & Grandpa B's house. Grandma L. read us the story of Christmas, and we each chose a word. When out word was read in the story, we got to pick out a gift to open. What a fun idea!
The girls were so adorable about Santa this year! We've been learning about who St. Nicolas was all season. The girls left out cookies and milk by the fireplace for him on Christmas Eve. They were so excited on Christmas morning to see that Santa had eaten all of the cookies and drank all the milk! It's been fun to watch them really getting into Christmas this year. Not just the presents, but the true meaning - the birth of our Savior. They are really starting to "get it."
We had a great time celebrating Christmas last weekend with grandparents and cousins. I. and S. (3 months apart in age) really had fun together. O. & I. love to play with all of their cousins.
We got the tree up and decorated last weekend. It's so much fun to watch the girls get into the decorationg! They are really beginning to understand Christmas this year. O. even asked me if Mary nursed baby Jesus. (In her own descriptive words, of course.)
We have been so blessed to have R. with us twice a week! It's giving the girls good practice sharing mommy for when we have another baby. They are both great helpers!
O. had her first piano lesson on Tuesday. So far she loves it, and enjoys practicing, too. Here she is with her teacher, Amy, and Amy's youngest daughter.
The girls posed in their new outfits on Sunday. Olivia is especially proud of her new shoes that she picked out herseld. Isabelle finally fits into the outfit I got her in Kenya, and she loves it.
R. is already getting so big! He's a fun baby! Stef had to go back to work this week, which means we got to have R. He sure is a fun baby! These are a couple really good shots of Stef and R.
Cousins are so fun! S., Kristin, K. and Heather's mom came up for a weekend a few weeks ago. The girls had so much fun with their cousin Sophia! Thanks for a fun weekend!
We actually got to go and pick apples at the orchard this year! Ther girls had tons of fun, even though they didn't always choose the "best" apples. :)
I love my family! We formed our family by adoption. 3 of our kids came to us through domestic adoption, and 1 through an Ethiopian adoption. Miss O has a chromosome abnormality called 1p36 deletion syndrome (pronounced 1p three six), and Ato T is missing the left hemisphere of his brain and has CP. Thanks for stopping by to join us on our journey!
Mom to 4 amazing gifts from God, brought to me through adoption. Wife to the most wonderful man you could dream of. Aspiring photographer. Most importantly, follower of Christ.
